Character created for the theatrical makeup & hair exam at my academy inspired by Orson Welles' "voodoo Macbeth" (1936). For this character I was inspired by the witches of "Macbeth", the imagery of the Haitian voodoo and the legendary Marie Laveau. I personally designed the character and created the face painting, wig, scepter, costume and accessories. The wig was styled into dreads, then I made a braid hairstyle and I inserted jewels and feathers. The necklace of animal teeth has been sculpted and colored with acrylic colors while the scepter is a real stick to which details in rope, feathers and a skull have been added. Even the nose ring was created by hand. Lastly, I completed the work by covering all the model's tattoos with grease paint and alcohol colors.
