With this project I wanted to pay homage to the TV series "The Haunting of Hill House" and to the makeup created by Robert Kurtzman for the series by creating my reinterpretation of Poppy Hill. In this project prosthetic application and bodypainting are mixed as in the original. For the skin lacerations I sculpted generic prostheses which I then casted flat and pre-colored with water-based and alcohol-based colors. The entire bodypainting of the half bust was airbrushed, the dominant color is a bluish gray while for the make-up and accessories I took inspiration from the 20s. The veins and mold were airbrushed while for the spots I previously made stencils to be used in combo with the "spattering" effect to break up the uniform grayness of the skin and give more depth to the skin.
